We used rum barrels from a few different regions in the last almost 5 years and in our humble opinion Jamaican barrels bring the delicate rum notes in the finest way. It’s always a pleasure to work with them, especially at the first filling. We crave pineapple rum and we wanted to get as close as possible without the sun burning our wings. The thick imperial stout sat more than a year in this fresh barrel and got mixed with sun-dried pineapples. The aim was not to overwhelm the base, but to complete it with all those fine tropical flavours. Mango, banana, be prepared, your time will soon come! – you’ve heard it first here
